It wasn't everyday that Susan Storm came to Stark Tower looking for the playboy Tony Stark's help, but that was where she found herself today. Her studies of the tower that resides in the Crystal Expanse had been inconclusive and even Reed Richards couldn't make heads or tails of it. That left only one man that she could call on for help, and that was the genius himself, Tony Stark.
Susan came up to the front entrance of Stark Tower and rang the doorbell. She knew it'd be the AI Jarvis that answered first. The rest of the Fantastic Four figured that Tony Stark would turn them away if they showed up, but he always had a weak spot for a pretty face. Susan waited outside the entrance for Tony Stark to answer her call.

Tony Stark had gone through the trouble of doubling security measures in Stark Tower after the invasion of the mind Legion had put him through to lure him into a false sense of security. Though the child hasn't attacked Stark Tower yet, he was expecting an attack at any given moment. So when he saw Susan Storm of all people at the front door he was surprised somewhat.
"Let her in, JARVIS."
The AI of Stark Tower, JARVIS, allowed the door to open granting Susan Storm entry. She would be led through some stairs before finally reaching the top floor where Stark was waiting for her with a glass of wine in his hand.
"This is a pleasant surprise. I always thought you were Richard's girl. What brings you to my neck of the woods?"

Not two minutes into walking into the room and Stark was already hitting on her. His reputation as a ladies man well preceded him.
"I'm a taken woman, Stark. This isn't a personal visit, but a business one. What can you tell me about the Downward Spiral?"
Susan would cut right to the chase. She knew Stark was no nonsense. Didn't like to beat around the bush, so there would be no bush beating. Susan Storm needed answers regardless the tower and she figured the best fire way to get them, besides going off to the Crystal Expanse herself, was to ask the smartest man in Isafaro. Even if saying that did increase his ego by ten points.

"That it is an immensely ugly looking tower."
Stark may have been a ladies man and a womanizer, but he knew his boundaries. He knew what consent meant and it wasn't his like to have affairs with people. He looked outside his window to see the tower in question sticking out in the city's skyline like a horrible looking sore thumb.
"I only know the basics. That it's a inter-dimensional transporter acting on its own and bringing people from different worlds to our own making them our responsibility and that nobody knows how to operate the damn thing to send anyone back. Why do you ask?"

"Richard and I have been studying it for quite some time now. Wanting to aid the Resistance in learning more about the tower before the Vulture does. I guess I was hoping you could shed some light on the situation."
It didn't sound like Stark knew much more than she and Richard did. It amazed her how something so simple as a tower, yet complicated as inter-dimensional travel could be such a brain twister for the most brilliant minds in Isafaro.
"I guess we're just going to have to go out there and see it for ourselves. You in?"

"Why would I waste my time studying something that others already determined was a waste of time?"
Stark already did his research on the tower and came to the same conclusion that Vulture researchers did. That it was a useless waste of time and could not be controlled. Nobody knew how to manage it and it was just there as an eye sore. As much as General Vulture wanted to use it as a means of conquering the realms, he couldn't. And that was a good thing.
"Besides, you're from Sector Four, and we good law abiding citizens can't be can't be caught dead with anyone from Sector Four. I'm afraid I can't help you."

"I have to admit, Tony, I'm a little taken aback. I would've thought you of all people wouldn't care about the rules and regulations. Or take someone else's word besides seeing things for yourself, but I guess I was wrong."
Susan wouldn't force the issue. She knew when no meant no. If Tony Stark wouldn't help them she would have to go to somebody else. Maybe someone in sector four already. She turned around and started to walk away.
