General Solomon led a team of about twenty paladins and ten healers alongside the likes of Lady Miracle and Lady Jehanne through the Crystal Expanse on horses in an attempt to locate and investigate the tower being dubbed the Downward Spiral. To learn its secrets and to see if there were truly anything evil about the tower. But a tower that could transport people to and from different worlds and mess with the natural balance that Lord Yahweh had created already seemed evil in the mind of General Solomon. He took the lead and looked back to see how Miracle and Jehanne were doing.
"How goes it back there?"

Jehanne was right by Miracle's side on a horse of her own as they traveled across the Crystal Expanse. Jehanne had a large black fur coat on over her armor to warm her from her cold climate of the Crystal Expanse. To think the holy city of Aircano borders just on the southern side of the expanse and yet the holy city is nowhere near as cold. When she heard Solomon call back towards them Jehanne yelled back:
"We're fine!"
She then turned her head to Miracle.
"I've forgotten how cold it can get in the expanse. How are you faring?"

Miracle looked up from the ground of the crystal ice and glanced over to Jehanne who was riding her horse right next to Miracle and her horse. Lady Miracle had a large black overcoat on over her priestess robes to keep her warm in the cooler climate of the Crystal Expanse.
"I am faring well, Lady Jehanne. You forget I have the word of God to sustain me."
Miracle knew no hardship was too much with Lord Yahweh on their side. She knew they would reach the tower soon as big as it was getting in the distance. Then they would learn the truth of her vision.

Solomon smiled back at the pair and then returned his glance to the road up ahead. However, they were then intercepted by ice creatures. Dangerous monsters who adapted to the cold climate and became part of the ice. They attacked the horses and then the paladins.
"Dismount! Protect Lady Miracle with your life!"
Solomon dismounted from his horse and drew his long sword. He sliced one ice monster cleanly in two and then impaled another. The paladins surrounded Lady Miracle and kept the other ice monsters at bay as Solomon fought with what appeared to be the ice monsters' group leader. Solomon made little headway as it proved to be stronger than the rest. It looks like the road to the tower wouldn't be easy after all.

"Stay behind me, my lady!"
Jehanne dismounted off her horse and stuck one of the ice monsters that came for her on the head with her blade. She then sliced into another one and kicked back a third. She made sure to keep an eye on Miracle to make sure she was safe while fighting off the ice monsters they seemed to have attracted with their party. It wouldn't be an easy fight, but as God as her witness, they would not have the flesh of Lady Miracle.

Miracle dismounted from her horse and remained close to Jehanne as requested. Seeing the paladins struggle against the ice monsters prompted Miracle to act. She held up her staff and closed her eyes to pray.
"Dear Heavenly Father, please give these men the strength to fight off these fiends in your name Jesus Christ! AMEN!"
Solomon, Jehanne, and the rest of the paladins would soon feel the strength they would need to eliminate these ice monsters once and for all!

General Solomon could feel the sudden rise of strength in him and knew that it was from the power of Lady Miracle's prayer and Lord Yahweh himself. He would not put it to waste as he overwhelmed the ice monsters around him and began cutting them down to size. More ice monsters came out of the woodwork and Solomon led his men towards them. Slicing and dicing through them to clear a path for the tower.

Jehanne felt the power rise in her too and took the fight to the ice monsters. Slaying one after the other while keeping a close eye on Lady Miracle. Making sure none of the ice monsters could reach her. Because if they could hurt Miracle then they would hurt them all and their power would no doubt begin to fade.

"HEAR MY PRAYER!"
Miracle began to glow a bright white light and then suddenly a burst of holy energy erupted from her body. It would not harm the paladins and Solomon and Jehanne, but it proved deadly against the ice monsters. Wiping them out for a good couple of yards clearing the area of them so the Aircano party could go on their way, but it weakened Miracle who fell to her knees and tried to catch her breath.

Solomon felt the presence of the Lord and his sheer power when the holy energy exploded against the ice monsters that opposed them. But then he saw the state of Lady Miracle herself and quickly ran towards her side.
"Lady Miracle!"
Solomon got down on his knees and gently rested a hand underneath Miracle's head to prompt her up.
"Are you alright? Speak to me, my lady."

"MIRACLE!"
Jehanne dropped everything she was doing and returned to Miracle's side. It seemed her prayers to Lord Yahweh and releasing that holy energy wave took too much out of her. Solomon tended to her, but Jehanne got in there too. Looking her over and holding onto her hand.
"Please, Lady Miracle. Please wake up."

Miracle came to and looked up to see both General Solomon and Lady Jehanne concerned over her.
"Why are you so worried? Where's your faith?"
Miracle sat up and then climbed up to a stand as she leaned on her staff and looked at the others.
"Are the ice monsters gone?"

Solomon was relieved to see that Miracle was alright as he stood up and backed away to give her some much needed breathing room. When she asked if the ice monsters were gone he did a quick sweep of the area and then glanced back at the High Priestess.
"Yes, Lady Miracle. The ice creatures are gone and we can continue on our journey in peace."

Jehanne was also relived to see Miracle was fine after that display of power. No doubt thanks to the strength of Lord Yahweh using Miracle as a vessel. Sometimes Jehanne wondered if Lord Yahweh asked too much out of the young Miracle.
"You did it, my lady. You took care of the ice monsters."
