They had agreed to meet at this spot the following day. Queen Lori was hopeful that Ariel had found the Genie lamp so they may make their wish. There wasn't a lot of activity going on at the Docks today, so not many would notice the Queen of Hallowton lingering there. Lori came up on the ledge of the docks and waited for that beautiful mermaid to show herself.

Ariel had search far and wide within the big blue sea and she finally found it. A golden lamp capable of making all her wishes and dreams come true. She placed it in her bag and then began the long swim back to Hallowton's docks. Once she was there she came up to the surface and placed the bag on the docks by Lori's feet as she looked up at the Queen and smiled.
"Hello, Your Majesty."
Soon they would be calling her that.

"Yes, hello."
The Queen was getting anxious. She wanted to see the lamp for herself. To see the proof that there was really a Genie inside to grant them wishes. It was all she could think about while trying to go to sleep last night.
"Do you have it?"

"See for yourself."
Ariel opened up the bag and took out the golden lamp she had found at the bottom of the sea and placed it on the docks for Queen Lori to collect.
"Do you really think there's a Genie inside there?"

Queen Lori's eyes grew wide once she saw the lamp. She was quick to bring it into her hands and look it over. This was it. It had to be it. Her one way ticket to a life of freedom. Three wishes and one Genie.
"There's one way to find out."
Queen Lori began to rub the lamp.

Ariel watched as the lamp began to glow and shake and fell onto the docks' floor. Then blue smoke rose from the tip of the lamp and rose into the sky until a large blue genie appeared out of the lamp with a little bit of black hair and golden wrist bands on his wrists. He cried out:
"Lord save me, I'm finally free! That is one very small living space."
Ariel was taken aback. This was a genie?
"And what do we have here? Not one, but two masters. Now that is definitely new. Which one of you want to make the first wish?"
"Are you really a genie?"
"You are correct little lady! And I believe you both have one, two, three wishes to make before I go back into the lamp, so who's going first?"

Queen Lori was impressed by the genie from the lamp, even if he was a little too talkative for her liking. She would waste no time with making her wish.
"I'll go first. Ariel and I have discussed this and we agree to make it our first wish. We wish to trade places. For me to become the mermaid and for Ariel to become Queen of Hallowton."

"Your wish is my command!"
The genie aimed his fingers at both Lori and Ariel and then magical energy rushed from it towards them. It encircled Ariel and she was lifted it up out of the water and her fins was replaced with human legs and her clothes replaced with purple and gold robes and a Queen's crown on her head as she now stood where Lori was standing as Queen Ariel.

Lori was also surrounded by a bright light and floated up through the air headed for the waters. Her crown and royal gowns were gone and in its place was a gold coconut bra and and purple fin as her legs were no longer there. She fell into the water and swam about freely as a mermaid. No longer needing to worry about Hallowton politics, or human politics for that matter. She was now a beautiful mermaid. She was now finally free.

Queen Ariel looked at her legs. She lifted up a foot and wriggled her many toes. This was incredible. She was a human. A real life human. And not just any human, but Queen of an entire country. There was no limit to what she could do. It made her wonder why Lori wanted to give such a life up.
"It worked! Thank you, Genie!"
"It was my pleasure! If you have anymore wishes I'll be in the lamp."
The Genie went back into the lamp and Ariel placed it back in her bag before going over to where Lori was swimming.
"Well, what do you think?"

Only a few seconds as a mermaid and Lori could already feel the tug and call of the sea. It wanted to embrace her like a long lost lover. She wanted to embrace it like a man's kiss. She didn't want to fight her urges and desires anymore. Things she was told to keep at bay for the sake of the kingdom. But she no longer had a kingdom. She was free.
"I'm free."
Without anymore words spoken to Ariel, Lori turned around and dived into the water. Going deep underwater from Hallowton's docks as she began to explore the sea of Jherra. Jherra was an island, meaning there was water everywhere. It was a brand new world and she was going to see it all.

"And I'm the Queen."
Ariel adjusted her crown and then turned around and walked across the docks back to the city at large. Headed for the even larger castle made out of stone to sit on her new throne. She didn't know what Queen life would be like yet, but she was certain it was going to be the adventure of a lifetime!
