Tori's heart was racing and threatening to burst her chest if such a thing was possible. She tried to calm herself for she knew if Kara wanted to she could hear the rapid heartbeat inside Tori's chest and that would spoil everything. For Tori had planned to propose to her lover. They have done everything else they could do in their relationship. All that left now was marriage.
Tori gave them reservations at the best food place in Moon Valley and then left Karea a note to meet her there. Tori was the first to arrive and sat at the table. Tori knew Kara wouldn't leave her hanging for long. That was the benefit of dating someone with superhuman speed as a power. And soon that someone would be her wife. |

Kara always loved when Tori would arrange dates for the two of them like this. She didn't know what the occasion was, but she didn't care. She came in a blue dress with her glasses on her eyes and hair pulled up in a ponytail. She wanted to look nice for Tori of course, as always.
Kara spotted Tori over at a random table and went over to greet her. Sitting down and now sat right across from Tori as she smiled at the redhead. Tori was so beautiful, smart, and strong. Everything Kara could ever want in a partner. She was hoping something special would happen tonight and little did she know it was about to.
"Hey, Tori. Sorry I'm late."

As soon as Tori glanced up to look at Kara she was blown away by her beauty. Kara was breath taking beautiful. Though Tori always felt like that when she saw her lover. It never got old seeing Kara's face.
"You look amazing."
Tori stood up from her seat and pulled out Kara's chair so she could sit down. Tori then returned to her own seat and passed Kara the menu.
"Order anything you want. It's on me tonight." |

Kara blushed at the compliment from Tori. Tori always knew just what to say to make Kara's face red. When Tori handed her the menu Kara cooed as she opened it up and looked inside.
"You really shouldn't give a girl that much power."
Of course Kara wouldn't buy all the most expensive things on the menu, she knew they both had a budget.
"I'll have the shrimp with some fries and potatoes."

"You think I can't handle your unique appetite?"
Tori was teasing of course. Kara needed more food and drink than the average bear, but nothing too crazy. Tori glanced at the menu to decide what she wanted before the waiter finally came to their table.
"My lady here will take the shrimp meal. I'll have the cheeseburger meal please and thank you."
Tori handed both menus to the waiter and they went off to get their order as Tori looked back to her lover.
"So, how was work today?" |

"You know. Same old, same old. Cat Grant breathing down our necks making sure we're the best we can be. It's almost inspiring actually."
Kara was used to Cat Grant by now. Worked with her for years, and the job at Catco Worldwide Media was only her first job. Her real job was as Supergirl working with the DEO and her adopted sister Alex Danvers in dealing with the supernatural threat within Moon Valley. Something that had partner had joined in on as well. It made her happy that they were all working together for a better Moon Valley.

"Miss Grant better be nice to my Kara, or else we're going to exchange words."
Tori was half kidding, but half serious. Tori was protective of her Kara. Even though Kara was literally bulletproof and was stronger than most everyone else in Moon Valley. Still, it was hard not to be protective of the one you loved. Just then the waiter came by with their plates and placed them on the table.
"Thank you."
Tori began to dig into her burger while still smiling at Kara. |

Kara burst out laughing at that.
"Please don't. I don't know if even you can handle the likes of Cat Grant."
Kara meant no disrespect of course, but Cat Grant was a new breed and few people could put her in her place. But underneath it all Cat Grant was a good person. Kara knew that much for sure. Once they got their food Kara began to dig in. She was hungry to say the least and when you had the power that she had you needed to eat.

"You doubt my skills? Prepare to be amazed!" joked Tori.
All joking aside, Tori looked down at her pocket which held the little black box that held the diamond engagement ring that she had bought to give to Kara. She felt now was the time and looked back at her lover with a smile.
"Kara dear, forgive me, but I have ulterior motives for this dinner date."
Tori got up from her seat and went over next to where Kara was sitting. She took out her black box and got down on one knee now looking up at Kara's place at the table while holding up the box and opening it to reveal the ring shinning in the light from within.
"Kara Zor-El, will you do me the pleasure of becoming my wife? Will you marry me?" |

When Kara realized what Tori was doing her heart skipped a beat. She watched as the redhead got on one knee and brought out a little black box. Once she saw the diamond engagement ring inside shining in the light, Kara covered her mouth with her hands in shock. When Tori asked the question of all questions only one answer parted Kara's lips:
"Yes! Yes I'll marry you!"
Kara got up from her seat and went over to embrace her lover. Kissing her passionately on the lips.

She said yes. Kara actually said yes. Tori was beyond happy and a couple of the customers at the place saw this and began to applaud the happy couple. Kara embraced her, and Tori embraced her lover right back. Kissing her back just as passionately as Kara had kissed her before parting their lips.

Kara took the ring and placed it on her ring finger and then held up her hand to the people who applauded them. A huge smile on her face. This was the start of the rest of her life with her lover. The rest of her life with Tori Jacobs.
