History: Kara Zor-El was born to Zor-El and Alura of Krypton. She was also the older cousin to Kal-El. At the age of eight her family discovered that Krypton was dying. So they sent her away on a pod with Kal in order to protect her baby cousin on the new planet known as Jenesis. Where the yellow sun would give Kara and Kal powers they could only ever dream of. However, Kara's pod got knocked off course and by the time she got to Jenesis Kal has already grew up and become Superman.
Kara was later adopted into the Danvers family and lived in Moon Valley growing up with her adopted sister Alex Danvers. Kara did her best to fit in admiring her cousin's exploits as Superman from afar. She went through school, got a job, and learned how to live a normal life. Until one day a plane accident that consisted of her sister forced her to reveal herself to the world and become the superhero known as Supergirl.
Later on Moon Valley would establish the DEO which later her sister Alex would take command of. Kara met a decorated soldier in the form of Tori Jacobs and became close to the girl until she felt comfortable enough to share her secret identity with her and then the two fell in love. They now work together under the banner of DEO to keep Moon Valley safe and the Demon Seal from ever being opened.
