Chloe only laughed at the attempted charge of Naomi and she grabbed the woman in her hands. This made her drop the weapon however, but now Chloe bared her fangs over Naomi's throat as she looked back at Sincara.
"Try anything and I'll kill the woman."
Thanks to the involvement of the third Chloe had a hostage. They would see if Sincara truly was a hero.

Sincara saw that Chloe now had Naomi in her clutches and was using her as a hostage. The girl swore underneath her breath and then dropped her revolver to show she wouldn't try anything further against her. If only she didn't care about the third woman she could have had a clean shot, but that's not how Sincara operated.
"Let her go. She has nothing to do with our conflict."

Naomi found herself in the worse possible position she could have been in. As a hostage. Naomi tried to struggle to get free, but the vampire woman was of course twice as strong as she was, so it was no use. Naomi was at Chloe's mercy.
"Please! Don't kill me."

"Shut up!" she growled at both of them.
"You came here to kill me. To torture me for no damn good reason! Now you want mercy? This death is on you."
Without another moment's thought or hesitation, Chloe sank her teeth into Naomi and began drinking her blood.

This couldn't happen. Not like this. Sincara couldn't be responsible for someone else's death. She had to act, and act fast. Before Chloe either bled her dry or turned her into a blood-sucking fiend. Sincara saw a small opening at Chloe's head and decided to take the risk. Raising the weapon and firing off a single regular bullet to Chloe's head to knock her back and away from Naomi.

Naomi felt the sharp teeth of the vampire woman penetrate her skin and then later her blood being sapped from her body. Was this it for Naomi Hurt? Was she destined to die here trying to help a mere child who wanted to go vampire hunting? Naomi prayed for a miracle.

The bullet hit Chloe right in the head and was able to knock her backwards through the air and onto the ground. Causing her to lose her grip on Naomi before she could finish feeding. Chloe's head quickly healed and then she rolled backwards and back to her feet and turned her direction back on Sincara.

Sincara immediately ran towards Naomi's side and knelt down beside her. Aiming her revolver at Chloe the whole time. Naomi had lost a lot of blood, but Sincara knew if she got her to a hospital quick enough they could take care of it. Sincara then glared at the vampire.
"Leave this place and never come back."
She had to end this fight quickly if she wanted to help Naomi.

Naomi fell to the ground upon her back and looked up at the moon and stars. They were beautiful, but would they be the last thing she'd ever see? No. Sincara now knelt beside her and was keeping the vampire at bay as Naomi was starting to go into shock. She needed medical attention, and she needed it now.

"Fuck you! If we ever meet again I'll feed off both of you!"
With that threat given Chloe turned around and fled the scene. The important thing was she was still alive. Or was she? This new strength? This new power? It was all strange to her, but also it felt right. She was no longer weak little Chloe. She was strong and able to feed off the living.
Chloe was going to like this change.

Sincara was happy to finally be rid of the vampire woman. Though this was not how she wanted her first hunt to go. Sincara holstered her revolver and got out her cell phone and dialed 911.
"Hello? Yes, I have a woman who lost a lot of blood at Moon Valley Cemetery. Come quick!"
Sincara then hung up and stayed by the woman's side.
"It's alright. You're going to get help. Just hang in there."

Naomi was too out of it to even say thank you. She was trying her best to remain calm. To breathe normally even though it hurt. So much blood had been taken away from her. And all of this just to get a story into the Moon Valley Press. Was it worth it? Was it worth her life? She heard sirens in the distance and then everything went black.

It didn't take long for the paramedics to show up. Moon Valley being a small town after all. They came over to where Sincara was and saw Naomi on the ground. They gently prop her up on a stretcher and carried her to the back of the ambulance. Sincara could only watch her leave, not being family herself she couldn't ride in the back. Sincara prayed that Naomi would survive.
Or she would never forgive herself.
